It usually happens that when talking about the need to carry out a process of professionalization and / or digitalization, there is a great acceptance in general by people, recognizing the benefits that this will bring to the organization.
But when we put hands on the materialization of change and navigate in the implementation process, that is when innumerable challenges begin to arise that must be overcome, especially it involves the internal client.
The challenges refer to the resistance to leave the comfort zone, the feeling of threat due to uncertainty towards the unknown, the differences in expectations of the resources involved, the rethinking of management strategies, unlearning and learning, among others.
The transition process can drive to tension in personal relationships and discomfort in the work environment, as well as some confusion of the senses or meanings of the original ideas that motivated the first step.
This situation leads us to believe that a process of change is not a simple, punctual, isolated issue, and that it only requires that the green light is turned on and everything suddenly flows.
There is a previous stage of awareness, acceptance, planning, training, crossed by discomfort, dedication and effort on behalf of all those involved, which in general, will require some time until the process can flow again, in a new overcome version of the organization.
Management transformation processes must go hand in hand with the company’s culture to ensure its success. Otherwise, greater costs of time, money, and wear and tear on relationships may be incurred that could well have been avoided.
While this last paragraph seems obvious, many times, in reality, the obvious usually goes unnoticed and underestimated. That is why, we recommend paying special attention to this other parallel process no less to consider.
Finally, it is essential to clarify and redefine the purpose of the chosen transformation process, that is, to return to the source and origin that connect us with our final purpose and inspire us to continue the path.
